What have I been up to since High School? Well Pretty much the same thing I was doing back then, just made a career out of it! :P I was going to become an optometrist, but right before enrolling, I went to Vegas on vacation... And stayed. (Yeah, my parents were THRILLED!) Joined a band, stayed for 13 years while etching out a career as a performing musician playing casinos, showrooms, etc... and also doing recording session work for Commercials, movie soundtracks, etc... And generally making a liar out of my father by making a good living by playing drums. Now I'm in L.A., doing much of the same stuff, Blah blah blah.... Condensed version: I play drums, and I am happy! ***UPDATE*** OK, So I came back home for the reunion, and after realizing that for the first -and last- time ever we had 5 generations of immediate family that was going to be together for the holidays, I decided to stick around for that. Then as so many of you saw, Lisa Gibson won my heart while I was here. So, I came for the reunion, hung out for the family, and stayed for the girl! I still get flown out to Vegas to record and perform occasionally, and I'm doing some recording at home right now, And now Lisa and I are expecting a new arrival in July!
School Story:
School story? Hmm... Gotta go with when Our band (Mike Cozzie, Tony Mazza, & myself!) Got to play at Sandburg with fellow Sandburg Alumnists "Premonition"! That was kind of a stepping stone for me musically, not only for the support and appreciation we received from our peers that night, but the chain of events that it triggered, leading to more shows all around the city, as well as the first time we got to hear ourselves played on the radio! It opened my eyes to the possibility of making a living doing what I loved the most.
